Albany, NY, radio interview. We talk about my history, the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) conference, which was in the area, as well as the Albany dulcimer scene.

This was a fun interview with a reporter who plays some guitar. He overstates a couple of things (other players proselytize about dulcimers, but not many of us focus on rock), but he got the spirit of it.

Magazine interview: "As a part of our series about creating a successful career in the music industry, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Sam Edelston."

Livestream interview with CJ Plain, Host and Producer of The Noize Report podcast, broadcast out of Detroit, MI.

Interviewed by podcaster, veteran broadcast host, and music lover Al Melchior, on the subject of listening to unfamiliar genres or discovering music in unexpected ways. This is behind a paywall, so it'll cost a few bucks to listen, but even I happily paid!
Fun interview with a trio of Cincinnati podcasters who asked a lot of questions about dulcimers and got really curious about how to play them. I played "Wild Horses" live. They have audio-only on Spotify, but the YouTube video is most useful.

TV interview on their "CT Morning Buzz" show in honor of International Appalachian Dulcimer Day. Includes my on-air rendition of "You and Me on the Rock," a 2022 Grammy-nominated Brandi Carlile song that was written on a dulcimer.
Livestream interview with Karen Hale, Host and Producer of Avoid the Maze podcast, broadcast on the New Cleveland Radio network.

The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ, created an educational video about their zither and dulcimer exhibit. In the background, Sam is shown in the dulcimer video loop that is part of the dulcimer exhibit at the museum.
About a gig The Towne Crier Cafe next weekend. I've known about this venue for decades and am finally playing there. I recently saw a show over dinner there (The Reuben was tasty ... and save room for dessert.)
Podcast with over 60,000 followers on YouTube. We talk about my music, dulcimers, and more, plus you'll see me play three songs up close. Watch it at

TV morning show interview with host Emma Smith about my Maine mini-tour. Great conversation, plus my on-air rendition of "Call Me." During the song, you see Emma grooving to the music, but you don't see that everyone else in the studio was, too.
Livestream interview with Mandy Tyner from Folkcraft Instruments on her weekly podcast for the dulcimer community. Folkcraft is a major dulcimer maker.

"Greenwich musician wants to put dulcimers on the map" - by Mike Horyczun (also ran in several sister papers, including Sam's hometown paper, The Greenwich Time)
